Privacy notice

This notice explains how TalentCap uses your personal data under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA). TalentCap is run by HPCS SDN BHD to manage its training programmes.

What we collect

When you register for a programme, on this website or in the app: your name, email address, phone number, job title and company, your experience level, what you hope to gain, any accessibility needs you tell us, and whether you plan to attend.
When you create an account: your email address and a password, which we store only in scrambled form. If you ask to reset it, we email you a link that works once and expires.
When you attend: which sessions you checked in to, and when.
When you submit a company: the company's registration details, and your name and email address as the person who submitted it.
When you use the website: your internet address, which we use to stop repeated or automated attempts and keep in our security records.

Why we use it

To register you, send your ticket and tell you about changes, reminders or cancellations for programmes you registered for.
To check you in at the venue and keep attendance records for each programme.
To review companies before they appear in the list people choose from.
To keep the service secure and to find out what happened if something goes wrong.

Who can see it

The organizers and door staff of the programmes you register for, and TalentCap's administrators.
The company you register under, which can see its own staff's registrations and attendance.
Service providers that run parts of the service for us: Amazon Web Services stores the data and sends our emails, in Malaysia, and Cloudflare runs the security check on public forms.

We do not sell your data.

How long we keep it

We keep your registration and attendance details for 2 years after the last programme you registered for ends. After that, we delete your personal details and keep only anonymous totals, such as how many people attended a programme. Security records, which include internet addresses, are kept for 2 years.

Your choices

Every field not marked "optional" is needed to register you. Without it we cannot accept your registration.
You can ask to see or correct the data we hold about you, or withdraw your consent, by contacting us. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer register you for programmes.
